Shenzhen's Longhua District and United Arab Emirates' Ras Al Khaimah Economic Zone (RAKEZ) established friendly exchange and cooperation ties during a ceremony held at the Longhua International Cooperation Center (LICC) yesterday.

A delegation led by Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, ruler of the emirate of Ras Al Khaimah, along with representatives from both the Shenzhen government and companies, attended the event.

Mohamed Ali Al Nuaimi, chairman of the Ras Al Khaimah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, believes that the establishment of friendly exchange and cooperation ties will benefit both parties. Companies from Shenzhen will be able to leverage this opportunity to expand internationally, while Ras Al Khaimah can explore additional avenues for investment and economic development.

Al Nuaimi also noted that Shenzhen is one of the fastest-growing cities in China and home to numerous large companies that operate globally.

Ramy Jallad, CEO of RAKEZ, stated that with the establishment of friendly exchange ties, both sides can collaborate by sharing information and facilitating introductions for firms to promote trade and cooperation.

"Shenzhen boasts a robust business environment encompassing small, medium, and large enterprises and serves as a significant manufacturing and trading hub, particularly in electric vehicles, chemicals, drones, and high technology," Jallad said.

Emphasizing the importance of Longhua as a key district in Shenzhen due to its strong concentration of manufacturing and high technology, Jallad invited local companies to develop their businesses in Ras Al Khaimah.

Jieshun Technology, a one-stop supplier of smart parking and access control solutions based in Longhua, believes that the official establishment of friendly exchange ties will help mobilize resources to enhance its business development in Ras Al Khaimah.

In addition to yesterday's event, the Ras Al Khaimah delegation's itinerary in Shenzhen includes visits to other local companies.

Located in the heart of Ras Al Khaimah, RAKEZ is a business powerhouse and leading industrial hub, recognized as one of the fastest growing free trade zones in the Gulf region.

Longhua District is one of Shenzhen's industrial powerhouses and has a solid foundation in the real economy. LICC is a comprehensive international exchange and cooperation platform that aims to deepen close exchanges and practical cooperation between Shenzhen and cities worldwide in various fields such as economy, trade, technology, education, and culture.
