Shenzhen CiDi Intelligent Driving Co. Ltd. and Abu Dhabi GST Consulting Service Ltd. sign a cooperative agreement.
A delegation led by Yang Jun, secretary of the CPC Pingshan District Committee, visited Türkiye and the UAE on Feb. 26-29, engaging in discussions about industrial development, innovation collaborations, and project commercialization with local companies and chambers of commerce.
The UAE capital Abu Dhabi, which established friendly exchange relations with Shenzhen in January, has been actively promoting autonomous driving and new energy vehicle (NEV) development.
During the Pingshan delegation's visit to Khalifa Economic Zones, Shenzhen CiDi Intelligent Driving Co. Ltd. and Abu Dhabi GST Consulting Service Ltd. signed an agreement to collaborate on smart transportation digital systems, intelligent connected vehicle-to-everything infrastructure construction, and intelligent bus and rail system. Both parties are committed to fueling the progress of intelligent connected city construction, NEVs, and ICVs in Pingshan and Abu Dhabi.
The delegation also visited the China-UAE Industrial Capacity Cooperation Demonstration Zone to understand the zone's operations and plans.
At the Fakih IVF Fertility Center, the sole in-vitro fertilization (IVF) center in the Middle East with an in-house genetic laboratory, Shenzhen VitaVitro Biotech, located in Pingshan, signed an agreement with the center for collaboration in IVF, medical services, and talent development.
Delving into Dubai's NEV industry, the delegation discussed with Oneroad Group, which has obtained the overseas distribution rights for some Chinese car brands. With its business focus on China, the Middle East, Southeast Asia, and East Africa, the group plans to establish an overseas warehouse for automobiles to facilitate the global expansion of Chinese vehicles, particularly in the Middle East.
The Pingshan delegation stated that leveraging Oneroad's advantages in public transportation and car rental sectors in the Middle East, they can assist Pingshan enterprises in their business expansion. Oneroad also expressed its confidence in Pingshan and its intention to invest there.
During its visit to the UAE, Pingshan also sought cooperation opportunities with Dubai Silicon Oasis, a government-owned zone that promotes modern technology-based industries.
In Türkiye, Pingshan-based KK Mold Shenzhen Co. Ltd. signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Plasmot Furniture and Automotive Inc. The two companies plan to collaborate on car part R&D and manufacturing.
Specializing in the design and production of high-end molds for automotive, medical, and household appliance components, KK Mold offers a range of services including product development, mold manufacturing, precision injection molding, assembly, and supply chain logistics for leading global brands. The agreement with Plasmot will enable KK Mold to expand its presence in the Middle East and European markets.
Pingshan also introduced its business environment to the Istanbul Chamber of Industry, exploring potential collaboration opportunities.
