Shenzhen Meteorological Observatory issued a yellow alert for a cold front at 4 p.m. Thursday. The alert is anticipated to remain in effect for two to three days.
The lowest temperature is expected to drop to around 10 degrees Celsius on Friday and Saturday, with cold weather and scattered light rain. Temperatures in central and northern regions are forecast to be one to two degrees Celsius lower.
Coastal, highland, and sea areas may experience maximum gusts of levels six to seven.
Temperatures will rise from Sunday through Tuesday, leading to warmer and more humid conditions. Wet weather is predicted for Monday and Tuesday.
However, the respite from cold weather will be short-lived as another cold front is expected to sweep in by Wednesday, causing temperatures to drop once again.
