Due to essential maintenance work on the contact wires, the start of Sunday's morning service for Metro Line 1, covering the section from Shopping Park to Window of the World stations, will be delayed by about 2 hours to 8:30 a.m.
Bus services will be arranged for the sections affected by the overhaul, Shenzhen Metro Group said in a statement yesterday.
Passengers are advised to consider alternative transportation options such as Metro lines 2 and 11, in addition to the provided bus services.
Metro Line 1, the city's first Metro line, has been in operation for nearly 20 years, serving a total of 5.03 billion passengers.
At the beginning of 2023, the operator completed the overhaul of contact wires from Grand Theater to Shopping Park stations.
