Shenzhentong Co. has launched a service for travelers using its app or WeChat miniprogram offering a single QR code for cross-border travel between Shenzhen and Hong Kong, sources from the company said recently.
When a passenger buys a digital ticket package via the Shenzhentong app or miniprogram, he or she can get a QR code with a one-way cross-border bus ticket and a single Metro or bus ticket in Shenzhen.
The package price is cheaper than buying separate tickets.
In addition, travelers are able to check the timetable and buy tickets for cross-border buses between Shenzhen and Hong Kong through the platforms.
At present, the company provides service for the routes from Shenzhen Bay Checkpoint to Hong Kong’s Prince Edward, Tsuen Wan and Tuen Mun, and it will expand to more checkpoints and routes to improve cross-border travels.
