5 new Metro line sections to open soon

Shenzhen will open five new Metro line sections this month, following the transfer of facilities from construction contractors to operators during a ceremony yesterday.
The five sections are the Shuang-long to Pingdi section of Line 3 in Longgang District, the Xili Lake to Shenzhen University Lihu Campus section of Line 7 in Nanshan District, the Shenzhen Bay Checkpoint to Hi-tech Central section of Line 13's Phase I in Nanshan District, the Gangxiabei to Huaqiang South section of Line 11 in Futian District, and the Shenzhen Waterlands Resort to Songgang section of Line 12 in Bao'an District. Together, these new sections span 28 kilometers and will bring the total length of the city's Metro network to 591 kilometers.
