From Nov. 7 to 14, HUA HUB — also known as the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Innovation Lab (Shenzhen Longhua) — and representatives from its entrepreneur network participated in the 12th World Urban Forum (WUF12) and the 29th United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP29), held in Cairo, Egypt, and Baku, Azerbaijan, respectively. The aim was to establish in-depth connections with industrial sectors and leading enterprises in both locations for future complementary and pragmatic cooperation.

This was the first time that Long-hua-based enterprises attended WUF12, which took place from Nov. 4 to 8. Representative companies in fields such as new energy technology, water environment management, consumer electronics, and portable energy storage participated in the Urban Expo at WUF12, which attracted 136 international and local organizations and institutions from 52 countries.

During the expo, Longhua Drainage showcased its integrated water affairs operation and management model and shared its experiences related to water safety, water resources, water environment, water ecology, water culture, and the water economy.

Chen Hua, general manager of Longhua Drainage, stated, "The expo not only provides us a chance to showcase our corporate strengths but also serves as an important opportunity to seek common development with counterparts around the world. We look forward to developing international cooperation in a broader range of fields with potential partners."

On Tuesday, HUA HUB partnered with the Shenzhen Foundation for International Exchange and Cooperation and Biosphere 3 to hold the "Shenzhen Day: Innovation-Driven Sustainable Development of Megacities" event at COP29. This gathering facilitated discussions about Shenzhen's development experiences and innovative initiatives.

HUA HUB focuses on the digital economy and the development of micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs). In cooperation with partners from the U.N., local governments, businesses, and academia, the lab is expected to build an international network for sustainable development among MSMEs and young entrepreneurs.
