The second edition of the competition, which wrapped up in April this year, drew participants from a total of 647 schools across Shenzhen, Hong Kong, and Macao. The three cities collectively submitted 6,078 entries. In the end, 128 individuals and teams excelled and were honored with various awards.
So Mei-fong, deputy general manager of business development at Hong Kong Sing Tao News Corp., noted that the April competition saw over 1,200 entries from Hong Kong, a six-fold increase from the inaugural event.
She highlighted that more than 200 Hong Kong schools took part, underscoring the competition’s appeal and influence, as well as the professional caliber of the young participants. “It reflects the creativity of the youth and their aspirations for the future,” she said.
Hou Fenfen, secretary general of the Macao China National Cultural Innovation Association, said 28 schools from Macao participated in the April competition. “We will promote the third competition through various channels such as educational institutions, schools, communities, and media in Macao,” said Hou.
Since its inception in 2023, the competition has become a hallmark of Shenzhen Design Week and a prominent platform for nurturing young talent in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
