Education bureau's efforts on AI-empowered education |

The Shenzhen Municipal Education Bureau has provided 923 primary and junior middle schools with multiple AI learning platforms. Last year, three platforms (Tencent, UBTECH, and SenseTime) were offered, and this year, the number of platforms has increased to seven (including iFlytek). The bureau welcomes service providers with the capability and curricula that align with the national curriculum standards to join and serve Shenzhen's primary and junior middle schools.

The Work Plan for Promoting Artificial Intelligence Education in Primary and Secondary Schools, issued by the Shenzhen Municipal Education Bureau on July 14, 2023, proposes that by 2025, a smart education system that integrates artificial intelligence and education will be basically formed. An artificial intelligence education curriculum system with Shenzhen characteristics will be established, the professional level of artificial intelligence education teachers will be comprehensively improved, a service pattern for social resources to support artificial intelligence education will be constructed, a batch of typical applications of artificial intelligence scenarios in schools will be built, a batch of demonstration schools for artificial intelligence education will be created, and artificial intelligence education will be basically popularized in all primary and secondary schools across the city. This will further enhance the artificial intelligence literacy of primary and secondary school students, play a positive role in promoting the all-round development of students, and contribute to building a strong city in education.

On May 22, 2024, the Shenzhen Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau, Public Security Bureau, Development and Reform Commission, and Bureau of Government Services and Data Management jointly launched a "one-stop efficient service for talent introduction and household registration," enabling the entire process of talent introduction and household registration to be completed online. The initial service is applicable to recent graduates and returned overseas students, allowing them to complete the Shenzhen household registration process from the comfort of their own homes in as little as half an hour.
