China Southern Airlines General Aviation Co. Ltd. has launched the Mt. Wutong Helicopter Aerial Travel Project, offering three new sightseeing routes in collaboration with Shenzhen Comfort Travel Service Co. Ltd., a subsidiary of the China Comfort Travel Group.
During the promotional period, which runs until the end of September, travelers can choose from three different routes, all serviced by Bell 407 helicopters. Ticket prices range from 299 yuan (US$42) to 899 yuan, depending on the route's distance and flight duration.
At a signing ceremony held last week, Xu Minggang, vice general manager of China Southern Airlines General Aviation, noted that this initiative represents the company's latest tourism venture in the low-altitude economy for Luohu District. The company plans to work with partners to develop additional routes, including low-altitude educational tours.
Luohu District, renowned for its rich natural resources and often referred to as the "half mountain, half city" area, boasts attractions such as Wutong Mountain, the Shenzhen Reservoir, and the Fairy Lake Botanical Garden. These natural assets provide significant potential for developing low-altitude tourism and business travel opportunities.
Recently, Luohu District introduced 10 measures aimed at boosting the low-altitude economy, with a focus on integrating business, travel, and culture with traditional sectors like commerce, tourism, and jewelry.
The district is currently home to 104 enterprises within the low-altitude economy chain.
