The first commercial helicopter sightseeing flight in the Greater Wutong Ecological Integration Zone was launched in March. Two recently opened urban low-altitude traffic (sightseeing) operation centers at the northern ends of Wutongshan Community and Wutongshan Haohan Slope will begin regular commercial operations. These operation centers will feature three sightseeing routes, with ticket prices ranging from 399 to 980 yuan, catering to varied consumer preferences and aiming to promote the development of the low-altitude tourism sector.
Apart from the three commercial routes, two emergency rescue routes will be opened: one from the top of Wutong Mountain to Wangtong Camp and the other to local emergency hospitals. During peak seasons, these routes will be used for aerial tours, while in off-peak seasons, they will serve purposes such as scenic area patrols, forest fire prevention, transportation connections, and emergency rescues.
From a longer-term perspective, an urban air traffic operation center for unmanned passenger aircraft is expected to be launched by the end of this year. The "Flying over Wutong Mountain" sightseeing project is the first demonstration project showcasing low-altitude applications in business, tourism, and culture in the Greater Wutong Ecological Integration Zone, and the first test flight project of unmanned passenger aircraft in Luohu District.
This project will primarily feature well-known landmarks such as Wutong Mountain, Shenzhen Reservoir, and Fairy Lake Botanical Garden, providing low-altitude tourism experiences and offering citizens a chance to fully appreciate the natural splendor of Wutong Mountain.
It is worth noting that Luohu District will further promote the integration of the low-altitude economy with scenic spots, high-end hotels, commercial blocks, leisure parks, and camping businesses, and focus on on developing application scenarios such as passenger sightseeing and emergency rescue, exploring the advancement of new formats in "low altitude + cultural and tourism consumption."
