Synthetic Biology
The focus will be on the development of foundational synthetic biology technologies, quantitative synthetic biology techniques, and bio-creation. More efforts will be made to achieve breakthroughs in key technologies such as artificial phages and artificial tumor treatments. Progress will be promoted in constructing major scientific and technological infrastructure for synthetic biology, and the establishment of research and development bases and industrial innovation centers for synthetic biology will be pursued.
Blockchain
The focus will be on foundational platform technologies, blockchain + finance, blockchain + intelligent manufacturing, and blockchain + supply chain technologies. Efforts will be made to promote the establishment of a set of technical standards and specifications in areas such as technology frameworks, evaluation systems, application norms, and cross-chain interoperability. This will contribute to establishing Shenzhen as a leading area for blockchain innovation.
Cells and Genes
We will give priority to developing fields such as cell technology, gene technology, cell and gene therapy technology, and biological breeding technology. Measures will be taken to improve the approval mechanisms, regulatory systems, clinical trial incentives, and application and promotion mechanisms for cell and gene drugs. Accelerated efforts will be made to establish leading cell and gene industry areas.
Aerospace Technology
Emphasis will be placed on the development of aerospace information technology, advanced remote sensing technology, navigation and positioning technology, and aerospace equipment manufacturing. We will drive innovation in aerospace materials and components, unmanned aerial vehicles, satellites, and other related technologies. Moreover, we will plan and establish a leading domestic aerospace technology industry base for innovation, research and development, and manufacturing.
Brain Science and Brain-like Intelligence
We will focus on the development of brain mapping technology, brain diagnosis and treatment technology, and brain-like intelligence. We will conduct fundamental theory research and advance the development of cutting-edge technologies in brain-like algorithms. Additionally, we will promote the construction of major scientific infrastructure for brain analysis and simulation to make Shenzhen a pacesetter in the field of brain science.
Deep Earth and Deep Sea
We will prioritize deep-earth mineral and geothermal resource exploration and utilization, urban underground space development and utilization, high-end equipment, deep-sea intelligent sensing, and deep-sea information technology. We will advance major projects such as the national deep-sea science research center and Shenzhen Ocean University, making Shenzhen a pioneer in scientific innovation for deep earth and deep sea research and development.
Visible Light Communication and Optical Computing
Special attention will be given to the development of visible light communication and optical computing technology. We will establish a standardized system for visible light communication, develop high-value patents, and promote the demonstration of visible light communication and optical computing technology. In doing so, we will foster an innovation industry cluster for visible light communication technology and its applications.
Quantum Information
The development of quantum computing, quantum communication, and quantum measurement will be a priority. First-class research and development platforms, open-source platforms, and standardized public service platforms will be established. Progress will be facilitated in areas such as quantum operating systems, quantum cloud computing, and noise intermediate-scale quantum (NISQ) processors. Furthermore, we will build a quantum science center of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
