We will develop new medical imaging, patient monitoring and life support, optical equipment, high-end implantable and interventional products, and high-value domestically produced alternative consumables. We also need to make breakthroughs in major equipment and key components such as high-end imaging systems, surgical robots, novel in-vitro diagnostic medical devices, high-performance medical chips, and high-throughput gene sequencers. Support will be given to the establishment of high-end medical device industry innovation clusters in Nanshan, Longhua, Pingshan and Guangming. We will leverage the role of the national innovation center for high-performance medical devices, and build a globally competitive high-end medical device industry hub.
