Shenzhen Primary School was built in March 1911. It has developed from the Zhang clan’s Yongmutang in Shenzhen Township into what it is today after going through tremendous changes over a century. Now the school has nearly 1,800 students, 36 classes and a faculty of over 120 members. It is the only six-year primary school directly under the Shenzhen Municipal Education Bureau.
