Haifa is located in northern Israel, bordered by the Mediterranean Sea to the west and backed by Mount Carmel. It is the third-largest city in Israel, following Jerusalem and Tel Aviv. Haifa became a sister city of Shenzhen on Sept. 10, 2012.
