Bishkek is the capital of Kyrgyzstan and serves as the country's center for politics, economy, education, culture and technology. Shenzhen signed a Memorandum of Understanding to strengthen exchanges and cooperation with Bishkek on Nov. 17, 2013. The two cities became sister cities on Oct. 24, 2016.
