Dubai covers an area of 4,114 square kilometers and is located on the southeastern coast of the Persian Gulf. It is the capital of the Emirate of Dubai, one of the seven emirates that make up the United Arab Emirates. Dubai is known as the "Trade Capital of the UAE" and serves as the economic and financial center of the Middle East. It became a friendship city of Shenzhen on Dec. 24, 2018.
