Cape Town is situated on the shores of Table Bay, facing the Atlantic Ocean and backed by Table Mountain. It is renowned as one of the world's famous tourist cities, covering an area of approximately 2,461 square kilometers. The city serves as the legislative capital of South Africa, and as the capital and economic center of Western Cape province. It became a friendship city of Shenzhen on Sept. 15, 2015.
