Atlanta, located in the southeastern United States, is situated on a plateau at an elevation of 350 meters at the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains. It is one of the three major highland cities in the U.S. and serves as the capital and largest city of Georgia. Shenzhen signed a Memorandum of Understanding to strengthen exchanges and cooperation with Atlanta on March 30, 2012.
