Kavala, a city in Greece, is located in Eastern Macedonia and serves as the main seaport of the Macedonia region and the capital of Kavala Prefecture. It is a strategic point connecting Europe and Asia. Shenzhen signed a Memorandum of Understanding to enhance exchanges and cooperation with Kavala on Sept. 10, 2010.
