Osaka is Japan's second-largest city and a significant industrial and commercial hub, as well as a vital transportation center. It is renowned for its historical significance and serves as the capital of Osaka Prefecture. Situated in the southwestern part of Honshu Island, Osaka lies on both banks of the Yodo River's lower reaches, adjacent to Osaka Bay. On July 30, 2010, Shenzhen signed a Memorandum of Understanding to strengthen exchanges and cooperation with Osaka.
