Belgrade, the capital and largest city of Serbia, is situated at the confluence of the Sava and Danube rivers in northern Serbia, marking the intersection of the Pannonian Plain and the Balkan Peninsula. Shenzhen signed a Memorandum of Understanding to strengthen exchanges and cooperation with Belgrade on June 12, 2009.
