A business delegation consisting of 15 Russian enterprises and institutions headed by Alexey Fedotov, chairman of the China Branch of the Russian-Asian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, paid a visit to Qianhai yesterday.

During the day, the 29-member delegation visited Shenzhen Qianhai Kerry Center, Qianhai International Talent Hub and attended a symposium to learn about the business environment, industrial policies and development in Qianhai. The event provided a platform to increase mutual understanding as the Russian delegation also introduced their foreign trade and presented their market demands.

The event was the third of the Multinationals Trips in Shenzhen series that was masterminded and organized by the Shenzhen Municipal Committee of the China Council for Promotion of International Trade (Shenzhen CCPIT) to serve local enterprises and expand their global links.

Aristov Nikita, general manager of Vest-Service OOO, a Russian logistics company, presented data that Shenzhen’s foreign trade with Russia reached 7.38 billion yuan (US$ 1.07 billion) in first two months of this year, up by 40.4% year on year.

He said that Shenzhen and Russia can cooperate in multiple fields because of the great deal of complementary needs. He hoped that Russia could organize more business trips to widen the economical cooperation between Shenzhen and Russia.

Alexey Fedotov felt thrilled to visit Shenzhen again. “I’m pleased to lead the Russian delegates visiting Shenzhen, which is a city that develops and improves rapidly. The development of Qianhai is mind-blowing. I hope we can reach deep cooperation in a bid to further develop bilateral trade between Russia and China,” Fedotov said.

“This is my first time in Shenzhen. The city is beautiful and well-constructed. I would like to figure out a way for our company to carry out in-depth cooperation with Shenzhen,” Orlianskii Vasilii, manager of Npp Kf OOO, a Russian chemical manufacturing company, said.

The Multinationals Trips in Shenzhen series, initiated in 2022, previously took the enterprises from Austria and Germany to have a look at Shenzhen’s new energy vehicle industry and high-tech enterprises, respectively, providing the opportunities for foreign companies to match and create new businesses with local enterprises.
