Hetao Shenzhen-Hong Kong Science and Technology Innovation Cooperation Zone | 2024-08-08
On Oct. 14, 2020, Xi Jinping, general secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, delivered an important speech at the celebration of the 40th anniversary of the establishment of the Shenzhen Special Economic Zone, emphasizing the significance of "planning and building the Hetao Shenzhen-Hong Kong Science and Technology Innovation Cooperation Zone (hereinafter referred to as the Hetao Cooperation Zone)." On Aug. 8, 2023, the State Council officially issued the Development Plan for the Shenzhen Park of the Hetao Shenzhen-Hong Kong Science and Technology Innovation Cooperation Zone (hereinafter referred to as the Hetao Plan), granting the Hetao Cooperation Zone three development orientations: "pilot area for deepening tech innovation cooperation between Shenzhen and Hong Kong, experimental zone for adopting advanced international tech innovation regulations, and aggregation zone for trial transformation within the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area." The Hetao Plan clearly stipulates the need to advance the construction of the Shenzhen Park of the Hetao Cooperation Zone with high quality, high standards, and high levels. It also states the phased advancement of the Shenzhen Park's construction with 2025 and 2035 as key milestones. By 2025, an efficient cooperative mechanism for tech innovation between Shenzhen and Hong Kong will be established, showing positive results in open tech innovation cooperation. By 2035, a comprehensive pattern of collaborative innovation with the Hong Kong Park will be formed, making it a world-class research hub.
Qianhai Shenzhen-Hong Kong Modern Service Industry Cooperation Zone | 2024-08-08
Advancing the development and opening up of Qianhai is a major initiative in national reform and opening up personally planned, deployed, and promoted by Xi Jinping, general secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee. Shenzhen National High-Tech Zone | 2024-08-08
Shenzhen National High-Tech Zone, located by Shenzhen Bay and with a planned area of 11.52 square kilometers, was established in December 1996. It is one of the 10 pilot world-class high-tech zones built by the Ministry of Science and Technology. In April 2019, in order to better demonstrate the driving role of the high-tech zone, the Shenzhen Municipal People's Government implemented the expansion of the high-tech zone, forming a development layout of "one zone, two cores, and five parks." The total planned area was expanded from 11.52 square kilometers to 159.48 square kilometers. After more than two decades of development, Shenzhen National High-Tech Zone has consistently followed the two main directions of "developing high technology and achieving industrialization." By vigorously implementing the strategy of innovation-driven development, it has become the core engine leading technological innovation in Shenzhen, a demonstration base for the development of high-tech industries, and one of the regions in the country with the most concentrated innovative resources, the most vibrant innovation atmosphere, and the best entrepreneurial environment.
Xili Lake International Science and Education City | 2024-08-08
Covering a planned area of 69.8 square kilometers, Xili Lake International Science and Education City has an overall spatial layout of "one center, two axes, and three zones," concentrating colleges, scientific research institutes, maker spaces, science and technology towns, and other novel types of space. It focuses on functions like higher education, innovation and entrepreneurship, emerging industries, and scientific and technological research and development.
