Betraying the Martyrs
French deathcore band Betraying the Martyrs is recognized as a hybrid of metalcore and death metal. The band takes the breakdowns, blast beats, and death growls that are main elements in deathcore. They supplement them with clean vocals, choruses and programming that are the key parts in metalcore bands.
They also occasionally blend odd-time signatures that exist in progressive metal. Keyboards are also used to mimic the orchestral elements that reside in symphonic metal. However, deathcore elements within their music are the most predominant features. The band stated that they have a lot of influences, such as Born of Osiris, Meshuggah, Suicide Silence, Dimmu Borgir, Emperor and Cannibal Corpse.

Eluveitie
Eluveitie is a Swiss folk metal band formed in 2002 by Chrigel Glanzmann. Eluveitie describes itself as “the new wave of folk metal.” The band’s style incorporates characteristics of melodic death metal combined with the melodies of traditional Celtic music. They use traditional European instruments, including the hurdy-gurdy and bagpipes, amid guitars, and both clean and harsh vocals. Their lyrics include references to Celtic mythology, particularly of Celtic Gaul. The lyrics are often in a reconstructed form of the extinct ancient language Gaulish.

Warbly Jets
U.S. band Warbly Jets will promote its newly released EP “Propaganda” at the Shenzhen gig. Through the EP, the Los Angeles trio examines the idea of life with a genre-wrecking sample-based set of rock songs that highlight its studio dexterity as well as its disinterest in doing what anyone expects of them. Just like its self-titled debut released in 2017, “Propaganda” pulls no punches, articulately and acidicly riffing on the seedy state of things, over an arena-ready, anthemic sound and massive beats.
