‘The Last Emperor’
“The Last Emperor” is a 1987 epic biographical drama film about the life of Puyi, the last emperor of China, whose autobiography was the basis for the screenplay written by Mark Peploe and Bernardo Bertolucci. It was directed by Bertolucci and stars John Lone as Puyi, with Joan Chen and Peter O’Toole. The English-language movie was the first Western feature film authorized by China to be shot in the Forbidden City in Beijing. It won nine Academy Awards, including Best Picture and Best Director.

‘Dogman’
A timid dog groomer living in a poor suburb sells cocaine on the side and stays out of trouble, while trying to deal with his unstable, violent acquaintance who is a menace to the whole neighborhood. “Dogman” is a 2018 Italian crime drama film directed by Matteo Garrone. It was selected to compete for the Palme d’Or at the 2018 Cannes Film Festival. At Cannes, Marcello Fonte won the award for Best Actor.

‘Love and Bullets’
Directed by the Manetti Bros., “Love and Bullets” (“Ammore e Malavita”) is what non-Italians might call a Mafia musical. The 2017 Italian musical comedy film was screened in the main competition section of the 74th Venice International Film Festival.

‘Little Tito and the Aliens’
After his wife’s death, a professor lives isolated from the world in a Nevada desert in America. He supposedly works on a top-secret project for the U.S. government but actually, he spends his days on the couch. His only contact with the outside world is Stella, who organizes alien-themed weddings for tourists on the prowl for extra-terrestrials. One day the professor receives a message from Naples: his dying brother is entrusting him with his two children, so that they may live with him in America. Anita and Tito then arrive, expecting the legendary brightening lights of Las Vegas, but instead, they find themselves in the middle of nowhere, in the hands of their nutty uncle and in a weird, mysterious place where aliens are said to live.

Ticket to each movie is 50-60 yuan, except “The Last Emperor.” The cinema doesn’t sell tickets for “The Last Emperor.”
Moviegoers, who buy tickets for other four different movies or buy a Broadway Cinematheque membership card or deposit 300 yuan into their membership card, can claim a free ticket to “The Last Emperor” at the cinema’s counter.
