French classical guitarist Thibault Cauvin will present Albéniz’s “Mallorca” and “Cadiz,” Piazzolla’s “Buenos Aires,” Pereira’s “Rio,” Yocoh’s “Tokyo,” Duplessy’s “Oulan Bator,” Vachez’s “Calcutta” and Domeniconi’s “Istanbul.”
Cauvin is one of the most talented, charismatic and demanded guitarists of the moment. He travels around the world with his guitar all year long, invited by the most prestigious festivals and concert halls. Between New York and Singapore, San Paolo and Istanbul, London and Melbourne or Seoul and Tanger, he shares his music with audience members.
He has already played hundreds of concerts in more than 100 countries and regions, unanimously recognized by the critic. He has also participated in many TV and radio programs and collaborated with famous musicians and symphony orchestras. Cauvin is regularly invited by the most prestigious conservatories, universities and festivals throughout the world to give master classes, lectures or to judge competitions.
Born into a musical family, Cauvin began learning the guitar from his father when he was 6 years old. He has studied at the Bordeaux Conservatoire and the Paris Conservatoire National Supérieur. At 20, he had grabbed 13 first prizes at international competitions.
