The highly anticipated "Love Letter: Ouyang Nana 241042 Mini Albumn Exhibition" has opened at the Sea World Culture and Arts Center (SWCAC), showcasing approximately 50 works created by Ouyang since 2021, as well as collaborations with other artists. The exhibits span various art forms including graffiti, sculpture, installations and video art.

Themed around "Love Letter," the exhibition features four segments intertwined by the central narrative of "Cello + Girl + Turtle," presenting the young artist's original and emotionally captivating sentiments. Each exhibit displayed at the "241042" show reflects the distinctive perspective on art of the artist/cellist, while shedding light on her observations on commonalities among eras, regions and communities. Music fills the exhibition space, creating a soothing atmosphere that offers viewers a temporary reprieve from the hustle and bustle of life.

The numerical combination of 1042 symbolizes Ouyang's personal art journey, evolving from 2021, when her first crossover art exhibition was held in Shanghai, to 2024, with her creative scope expanding from personal narratives to encompass diverse art forms.

Born in 2000 in Taiwan, Ouyang is an emerging artist involved in various art fields such as music, acting, and singing. As a cellist, she has hosted 125 solo concerts since having her inaugural solo charity performance at the age of 10.

At the "231042 The Start" exhibition, Ouyang presented a special visual-audio experience in Chengdu, Sichuan Province, collaborating with multiple artists. Her "221042 Live Today" crossover exhibition was among the top 3 most popular shows in Beijing during the exhibition period.

The artists collaborating with Ouyang at the "241042" show include Yang Qian, Aiki Liu, Chen Yichun and MOTSE. MOTSE is a new media art team consisting of artists and scientists specializing in visual communication and blending experience in art spaces and commercial establishments. Their notable projects include the 3D mapping of the wall of Jokhang Temple in Lhasa. Renowned concept artist Yang has garnered awards at numerous international art events such as the Leslie & Frances Posey Foundation and the Oyster Bay Art.

Liu has collaborated closely with Ouyang since 2020. The New York-based artist has contributed to the visual effects of several animation music videos for Ouyang in 2020 and 2022. She was also featured in Ouyang's "211042 Arts+Play" exhibition.

Co-curated by Ouyang, Lyu Meiyi and Fu Juan, the 241042 exhibition will run through March 9.
