Four digital art exhibitions, blending new technologies and creativity, are being held at four venues in Shenzhen. Showcasing a diverse range of interdisciplinary artworks, these exhibitions offer a unique exploration of the intersection between digital media, art and the natural cosmos. Art enthusiasts and tech aficionados alike will be mesmerized in the innovative technologies and thought-provoking concepts.
'Unbounded'
"Unbounded: New Media Technology and Art Exhibition" showcases several interdisciplinary artworks created by Shen Shaomin, Fei Jun, Michael Whittle, Judith Dawer, Paul Shepherd and Picture Rhythm Studios. The theme "Unbounded" signifies a crossing of boundaries, exploring the relationship between the natural cosmos and the digital realm.
Visitors can also check out other permanent exhibits at the museum that record the unique culture of Huaqiangbei, known worldwide as the No. 1 electronics market in China.

'rhizomatiks_multiplex_2023'
The "rhizomatiks_multiplex_2023" exhibition introduces Japanese group Rhizomatiks' projects integrating computing, coding and engineering technologies. Since its founding in 2006, Rhizomatiks has been creating various media art projects requiring research and development approaches and involving disciplines such as architecture, design, advertising and entertainment. They aim to synchronize technology with current society, and many works reveal new aspects and offer new insights.

'Virtual Lab'
Thirty-six Chinese and international artists are showcasing 24 sets of digital creative works at the "Virtual Lab" exhibition, which is part of the SeeD Pilot Project dedicated to discovering and cultivating outstanding digital creative artists globally. Through their unique digital creative concepts, the exhibition presents reflections on the multidimensional impact of digital technology on the world.
The Longcheng Creativity Commune (Longcheng CC), where the exhibition is held, used to be an old car repair plant and now consists of the Creativity and Innovation Center (CIC), the Manxin Hotel, youth apartments, offices, shops and restaurants. The CIC includes exhibition halls for digital creative works, a dome theater and studios, and also offers services for conferences, forums, performances and lectures.

'Cosmic Elements'
The "Cosmic Elements" exhibition, a fusion of science and art, has carefully curated astronomical photography, astronomy-themed art installations, and various art forms from around the globe, showcasing the works of renowned artists who have participated in the Ars Electronica Festival, and those affiliated with the House of Electronic Arts in Basel and the Academy of Arts in Berlin.
The exhibition aims to captivate every visitor with the grandeur of the cosmos, inviting them to delve into the ultimate romance of the universe while pondering the profound connection between humanity and the cosmos. It is designed to examine astronomical art from three key perspectives, which are complex observation, the nocturnal journey of the human body, and the public awareness of astronomy. These serve as essential frameworks for viewers to comprehend each artwork.
